This important specialist training programme for our Child Protection Officers (CPOs) started in July this year, and the October session was held on the (dates). The CPOs from all our centres took part in them. This month, we reviewed the first three months discussing the challenges they faced, and the successes they had. This was a good way to identify the areas that needed to improve, working together to solve the problems they face and find ways to meet the challenges. The CPOs also had special training on understanding and working with domestic violence in families – this was very important as it is a big issue with many families we work with. The training also focussed on building stronger relationships with the parents as well.
