Responsibilities
- Engage with programmes under Child Protection, Health & Nutrition, Education and sustainability and facilitate them at the respective Child Development Center
- Observe each child, help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem while encouraging the children to interact with each other
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum mainly focused on activity-based learning
- Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring potential problems to the attention of parents or guardians and the respective Child Development Centre Head
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, International Development Studies, Psychology, Counselling, Education or any relevant field.
- 2-3 years of experience in an NGO, Child Development, Teaching, or Community development.
- Excellent command of English and computer literacy
Early Childhood Development Coordinator – Galle / Kilinochchi
Responsibilities

- Organize activities for children to learn about the world, explore interests, and develop skills
- Develop schedules, timetables, and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity and rest
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Diploma or Higher Diploma in Pre School or Montessori
- 2-3 years of experience working in a Montessori/ Pre School
- Excellent command of English and computer literacy
Finance Assistant
We seek a dynamic candidate with excellent interpersonal skills willing to support Child Action Lanka's finance department.
Responsibilities
- Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions and records in compliance with organizational and financial regulations.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets, financial plans, and reports.
- Reconciling bank statements and preparing bank reconciliations.
- Processing invoices, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Dealing with all suppliers and vendors
- Maintaining the organization's accounts payable and receivable.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing support to the finance and accounting team with various projects and tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Part Qualification in Accounting and Finance (ICASL/CIMA/CMA/ACCA etc.)
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar capacity is an advantage
- Good communication, reporting and analytical skills
- Rigorous commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent command of English and computer literacy (MS Office)
- Willingness to travel to all other Child Development Centers and projects
Specialist – Special Needs Learning Center (Gampola)
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of assessments and observations to determine the areas in which the student may need extra or modified educational services.
- Assessment of academic performance, behaviour, social development, or physical health.
- Develops an integrated plan for each child’s education by collaborating with the team, parents, psychologists, social workers, and other medical and head office staff.
- provides ongoing or follow-up assessments continually tracks progress and makes modifications.
- Develops, completes, and maintains all paperwork, reports and documentation mandated by local, and company guidelines, laws, and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of special education teaching methods, research, and best practices through professional development and study.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required or any relevant field.
- Appropriate state license or certification required.
- More than 5 years of experience working as a special education facilitator.
- Excellent command of English and computer literacy
- Willingness to travel more frequently
