Our team had the fantastic opportunity of gaining some valuable training by Gerard Das - a renowned mentor from Singapore at two separate training events. The first was a two day workshop from the 23rd and 24th of September on Counselling, and the other was also a two day workshop on the 25th and 26th of September on suicide prevention. Both training sessions were held at the CAL auditorium in Kandy. A first in Sri Lanka, the training focussed on understanding counselling, counselling skills and techniques as well as case study, role play and skills practice.
